Orders (kitchen queue)

Orders is the live queue. Tickets come from Square or Toast. Do not type orders into Parsley.

Orders — POS queue; Active and History tabs.

Before you start

Managers connect the POS under Store → Setup → Point of sale. Mapping products is optional for the queue, required for waste and profit. See Build a menu.

Use it

Active

Open tickets for this store: number, name when the POS sends it, Square or Toast, line items, time in queue.

Mapped lines show the Cookbook name (1x Cheese Pizza 18"). Unmapped lines show the POS text. Square often calls a size Regular; after import, the cook sees the product name.

Complete when the order leaves the pass. It moves to History. Waste and profit use the completion date. Active tickets do not count.

Reopen if you completed by mistake.

History

Completed tickets by date. Search by ticket number or name.

Unmapped lines

A banner (N unmapped POS lines) means some lines have no Cookbook product. The ticket still shows. Those lines do not count for sales or waste.

Fix it in Cookbook → Menu → Products (Square import, or paste a Toast GUID). Open tickets rematch after the link is saved.

Anyone can complete tickets. Connecting POS and mapping products is a manager job.

If it looks wrong

  1. Store → Setup → Point of sale is Connected for this store.
  2. Ring a test sale. It can take a few seconds.
  3. POS is per store — switch the header if you are on the wrong location.
