Weekly planner

Store → Plan → Weekly planner is how many of each product you plan to sell Mon–Sun. Prep and leftover waste come from these counts × Cookbook recipes.

Before you start

Recipes and products with Weekly par on. Inventory SKUs on those recipes if you care about dollars.

Set it up

  1. Cookbook → Menu → Recipes — dough ball, sauce portion, and so on.
  2. Cookbook → Menu → Products — attach recipes, turn on Weekly par.
  3. Here, type counts per weekday.
Weekly product counts × linked recipes → today’s prep

When Square or Toast is connected, Parsley can suggest counts from the same weekday last week (mapped, completed tickets). Review, edit, then Apply. Buffer adds a little extra (+3%, +5%, …) on last week’s sales.

  • Apply — that weekday for the selected product.
  • Apply all days — every non-zero row for that product.

Each product is planned on its own. Day totals are the sum across products.

Bulk prep (sauce batch, dough tray) is a product with Weekly par, same as a menu item. Diary is for recipe trials, not waste totals.

Use it

Managers edit the week here. Staff use Prep and Dashboard. A Prep override is today only.

Add an event when one night is not a normal Tuesday.

If it looks wrong

  • Wrong store in the header.
  • Product missing — Weekly par off, or no recipe on the product.
  • Suggestion looks high or low — last week’s completed, mapped tickets, or the buffer.
